The purpose of our group is to share and exchange Exact Macola {and all Exact Macola related products - Crystal, Access, SQL, Btrieve, etc.} problems & issues. We try and find solutions to any dilemmas that our users are facing (big or small) in a group atmosphere, that doesn’t require any consulting fees. We also have special mini-training sessions (Crystal Reports; AP; AR; GL; BOM; POP etc.) in which we try to give the basics, as well as tips and tricks to help tasks and processes along.

In the future, we’re looking forward to having outside speakers (Exact Macola, Computer Learning Centers and various BP’s and/or Consultants) in to give us new and important information about future technology.

Right now we have about 80 companies in our database that I send and request information from. Our users range from a few ES Customers to mostly 7.5x {both Btrieve and Microsoft SQL}. Our database continues to grow though – as word is spreading. Depending on the meeting – we can have anywhere from 20 – 45 people, representing as many companies. Not all members are able to make it to all meetings – but we have an average attendance of whom we call our "Cool Regulars" of about 20 that ALWAYS come to each meeting. The meetings are typically held in a location near the airport – but we are always open to change should another company offer their facility.

We also use our database to try and help solve problems by sending e-mails out to everyone when a problem needs to be solved. This way, because there are so many variables in each company needs and uses of the product, quite often a problem can be solved by another member that has similar uses.
