OF THE NORTHEAST
Mission
To create a network of Exact Macola users in the New England area, allowing users from many companies to share their experience and knowledge. Our goal is to inform our membership so that they can effectively and efficiently use Macola to meet their business needs. Meetings feature presentations by Exact representatives, resellers and third parties and are designed to educate our membership about the constantly evolving Macola product through open discussion.

Next Meeting

Topic: Credit Card Processing and ELECTION OF OFFICERS
Date and Time: Wednesday, May 16, 2007 9:00 am -11:30 am

Our next meeting on Wednesday, May 16 will be on credit card processing. It will cover basic capabilities built into Exact's Progression and ES products, such as the encryption of stored credit card numbers. We will also discuss an Exact module that enables designated users within a company to process credit cards over the internet. The module allows you to authorize credit cards at order entry or billing. You can also split up processing tasks. For example you can validate the card numbers and security features (address and V code) during order entry, and later charge the card at billing after adding shipping charges. The module allows several employees to process cards simultaneously and can handle multiple companies. If you are still processing your credit cards using stand alone machines and phone lines, this meeting is for you. The presentation should take about 1 to 1.5 hours including plenty of time for questions.

The rest of the meeting time will be used for a long overdue organizational meeting and the election of officers. Our membership is now using three major Exact product lines - Progression, ES and e-Synergy. This has made running the group more complex. We need your input on the topics you want covered, training needs, meeting frequency, the timing of meetings, meeting location, etc.

We need everyone interested in the future of the group to attend and participate in the shaping of its agenda and course.
