Engage 2010 Recap: Three affordable "must see" solutions featured in Orlando
For those who did not attend Engage 2010 or missed the sessions at which these solutions were featured, we bring you a look at three exciting and affordable solutions that were all the buzz at this year's User Conference.
First up, Matthew Bather of Exact will demonstrate the new version of Exact Event Manager that features a much improved, web accessible interface and new functionality. For those who already use this useful automation and notification tool, the new version will be available in a matter of weeks free of charge. For those evaluating whether or not to purchase Event Manager, please feel free to join us for a preview of the next version and hear feedback direct from current users.
Second up, Exact's Health Check service is affordably priced at less than $500 and provides a thorough assessment of your SQL server environment to identify opportunities to relieve bottlenecks and optimize performance. Philip Bini, Exact will provide a brief overview and demonstration and Wentworth Technologies' Ed Kus will share his company's experience using the service. A free Health Check service was offered to all Engage 2010 attendees.
Finally, Kenneth Sewell of Baker Triangle will share his experience using SQL Server Reporting Services which was previously available as an add-on but is now bundled with SQL Server 2008. Kenneth will demonstrate how easy SSRS is to learn and use and share his insight into its enormous potential to prepare and deliver interactive and printed reports throughout your organization.
